Lacq traditionally cooked yachtvarnish stands out because of the optimum flow, high gloss level with extremely good weather and water-resistance and high elasticity ensuring that the varnish will not crack on wood.

 

Lacq cooked yacht varnish is based on wood oils and phenolic resin and contains a high-quality UV filter that provides maximum protection against sunlight, even in tropical climates.

What do I use Cooked Yacht Varnish for?

Yacht varnish was originally developed as a high-quality varnish for boats.
Increasingly, this product is used on furniture and other wooden surfaces if a high-gloss finish is required.

What is the difference with ordinary yacht varnish?

We cook our Yacht Varnish in large pots according to traditional methods.
We use high-quality raw materials to ensure good flow and ultra-high gloss.

Does Cooked Yacht Varnish Harden?

Our yacht varnish will harden, but it will retain its elasticity to allow the wood to flex without cracking the varnish.

How many layers of Yacht Varnish should I apply?

To achieve ultra-high gloss finish, we advise you to apply at least 3 coats.
Lightly sand down in-between coats & remove any traces of dust. See the technical data sheet for more information.

What is the drying time for Yacht Varnish?

The Yacht Varnish is touch dry after 3 hours and dry to recoat after 24 hours.

What is the coverage for Yacht Varnish?

One litre of Yacht Varnish will cover approximately 14 m2.
